Devlog 8
It was a very stressful morning with the first years coming to test our games as I only found out once I came to the class that the playtests will start basically after our usual class time and turns out my teammate had to leave right after the class time ended and I was stranded on my own. With doing just the art I didn’t not touch unity at all in fear of breaking or messing up something. Last minute I also find out that my teammate has upgraded the unity version which was also a whole mess trying to open the project on my laptop. The new unity version was taking ages to download and I only had a few minutes left until they came and all I was able to do was sit and wait. After what felt like decades it was still pretty slow and I had to use the older version of the project on itch however a lot has changed and I felt like that playtest to my team would've been useless and it did turn out like that. I got two sets of people to play the two player game. I didn’t know what version this was so I wasn’t even sure when the gameplay finished. The feedback was also pretty bland and all they said was that it looked like a nice game and maybe add controller support. I decided to not waste anymore time on the playtests and started on the cutscene that would open the game and was probably supposed to be done before the playtest today but life kept tripping me up.
